 GOES TO STEELER TIGHT END ADRIAN COOPER
 PITTSBURGH, Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Pittsburgh Steeler tight end Adrian Cooper will be honored with this year's Joe Greene Great Performance Award, given annually to the team's Rookie of the Year by Pittsburgh National Bank, a PNC bank.
 Pittsburgh National's Sy Holzer, senior vice president, Metropolitan Commercial Banking, will present the award to Cooper during halftime of the Steelers-Eagles exhibition game Saturday night.
 Cooper was selected by the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Pro Football Writers of America. Pittsburgh National presents the Joe Greene award to the outstanding rookie at the Steelers' first home exhibition game of the following season.
 A fourth-round draft choice, Cooper had 11 receptions, two for touchdowns, last year. His average gain was 13.4 yards. He started in eight games and stood out on special teams as well as offense.
 His performance won him a spot on the NFL all-rookie team and all-NFL rookie honors from the Pro Football Writers of America, Pro Football Weekly and College and Pro Football Newsweekly.
 The Joe Greene Great Performance trophy, a 4-foot bronze statue of the Steelers' Hall of Fame defensive lineman, was commissioned by Pittsburgh National in 1985 and was designed by Pittsburgh native Paul Bowden. It is on permanent display in the Steelers' lobby at Three Rivers Stadium.
