PITTSBURGH BREWING TO SIGN CONTRACT TO SELL BEER IN RUSSIA
Representatives of Pittsburgh Brewing Co. and BFB, Inc., a newly formed trading company with interests in the Russian Republic, will discuss details of a $5 million contract to sell beer in Russia at a media briefing and question-and-answer session to be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 12, at the brewery's Ober Brau Haus, located at 3340 Liberty Ave., in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh.
The contract involves the export of an estimated 1.5 million to 2 million cases of Pittsburgh Brewing Co.'s American(R) brand beer for sale in the Russian Republic. The arrangement will result in at least $5 million in sales for the brewery over the next year and boost its growing international business.
BFB principals (three American and two Russian businessmen), and Pittsburgh Brewing executives, will be available to answer media questions. BFB executives include Joseph F. Biedlingmaier, president; Mark V. Furfari, vice president; James R. Biedlingmaier, secretary/treasurer; Aleksandr Shiskin, director, BFB Russia; and Sergey Beloglovskiy, director, BFB Russia.
Shiskin, a former diplomat, will be accompanied by his wife Valeria, as will Beloglovskiy, a Russian entrepreneur, whose wife's name is Galina.
Following the briefing, the group will tour the brewery. Media representatives are welcome to take part in the tour.
