PITT-DES MOINES REPORTS ACCIDENT

 PITTSBURGH, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Pitt-Des Moines, Inc. (PDM) (AMEX: PDM) reported an accident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. today at the construction site for the new U.S. Post Office in downtown Chicago, causing one fatality and injuring six others.
 PDM's employee was killed while working on a structural steel beam which collapsed. Pitt-Des Moines, Inc. is the steel fabricator and erector of the building.
 Some of the injured personnel were reported to be employees of PDM's subcontractor.
 Additional facts will be released as they become available.
