 PITT ANNOUNCES BUS STRIKE CONTINGENCY PLANS
 PITTSBURGH, March 13 /PRNewswire/-- In the event of a Port


Authority bus strike Monday morning, the University of Pittsburgh announces the following contingency plans.
 All questions regarding car and van pool information, parking lot availability, and alternate ways to and from campus, should be directed to the university's Ride Share Office at 412-624-0687. The office will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Saturday, March 14, and continuing if there is a strike.
 The university also urges all students, faculty and staff to:
 -- Call Ride Share to volunteer space in your car for pooling.
 -- Organize your own car pool in your department to reduce traffic and parking congestion.
 -- The university will have transient parking spaces available at the following lots. These spaces are not free. Parkers must pay for them.
 -- University Drive lot.
 -- Panther Hollow lot.
 -- Soldiers & Sailors garage.
 -- Old Cemetery lot next to Trees Hall.
 -- Additional parking spaces will be available on the concrete roadway off Second Avenue next to the BioTech Center under construction. University shuttles will run continuously to and from the Tech Center Road to the William Pitt Union, Fifth Avenue side.
 Again, any questions about car pooling, van pooling, parking lot availability, or alternative ways to enter and leave the campus, call the University Ride Share Office at 412-624-0687.
