PITMAN-MOORE ANNOUNCES RESTRUCTURING

 PITMAN-MOORE ANNOUNCES RESTRUCTURING
LAKE FOREST, Ill., May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Pitman-Moore, Inc., today

announced it is restructuring the company. Pitman-Moore President and CEO Boyd D. Wainscott said the restructuring will allow the company to be more competitive by focusing its resources, shortening lines of communication, and utilizing synergies in service functions.
The company has combined its North America region and feed ingredients business headquarter in Mundelein, Ill., and its Latin America region based in Coral Gables, Fla., to form the Pitman-Moore Americas region. J. Rodney Saddler, a five-year veteran of the company's management organization, heads the new Pitman-Moore Americas region as senior vice president and managing director, reporting to Wainscott.
The new region will be headquartered in Mundelein, and the Coral Gables office will close effective June 30. Raymond Gallardo, vice president and managing director of the Latin America region, has elected to retire.
Vincent T. Scialli, formerly vice president and managing director of the North America region, becomes vice president of business operations for Pitman-Moore Americas, reporting to Saddler. Scialli will direct all Latin America country operations as well as all commercial activities for North America animal health sales and marketing. Kermit McCormack will continue as vice president and general manager for the Feed Ingredients business, reporting to Saddler.
Also as part of the restructuring, finance functions for corporate and the new Pitman-Moore Americas region are being consolidated; corporate research and development at the company's Terre Haute, Ind., facility is consolidated with Pitman-Moore Americas; and corporate strategic marketing, strategic planning and business development functions are combined.
Pitman-Moore's corporate officers, located at the company's headquarters in Lake Forest, continue to report to Wainscott.
The company's other two regions, Pitman-Moore Asia Pacific based in Sydney, Australia, and Pitman-Moore Europe based in Harefield, U.K., remain unchanged. Pitman-Moore Asia Pacific was formed in September 1991 by a consolidation of the Australia/New Zealand and Asia regions.
Joseph H. Ritter, vice president and managing director of Pitman- Moore Asia Pacific, and Alan Sanders, vice president and managing director of Pitman-Moore Europe, will report directly to Wainscott.
"Pitman-Moore developed this restructuring with one prevailing objective: to create the best possible organization worldwide," said Wainscott. "We believe this plan will provide greater opportunities for the company as a whole."
