PIPERS LEAD WAY FOR VERY PC PROTEST.
HUNDREDS of furious Scots cops flooded budget airlines for flights to London to take part in a massive protest at changes to their pay and conditions yesterday.
Around 300 Scots officers joined 10,000 of their fellow officers from England and Wales to march on Westminster.
The Scots group, who were led by a group of bagpipers, converged on the Commons for meetings with MPs.
The officers want Home Secretary David Blunkett to scrap plans to introduce performance-related bonuses and cut over-time.
They've also snubbed the offer of a pounds 400 pay increase.
Douglas Keil, of the Scottish Police Federation, said: "We have had a great turn-out from Scotland and we have put our point across strongly to Scottish MPs.
"We now hope the MPs will pass on the message of how angry our members are at what David Blunkett is proposing."
