PIONEER HI-BRED INTERNATIONAL DECLARES DIVIDEND

 PIONEER HI-BRED INTERNATIONAL DECLARES DIVIDEND
DES MOINES, Iowa, Sept. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of directors of

Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: PHYB) today declared a regular quarterly dividend of 12 cents per share to be paid Oct. 7, 1992, to shareholders of record Sept. 28.
Pioneer shares were split three-for-one after the previous dividend of 33 cents per share was paid in July. On a post-split basis, the dividend declared today is an increase of one cent per share.
In other action, the board decided not to apply for listing the company's shares on the New York Stock Exchange at this time. Earlier, directors had considered such action. But with changes occurring rapidly in stock exchanges here and abroad, it was thought prudent not to take action now, even though the company could meet all of the listing requirements.
Pioneer shares will continue to be traded in the over-the-counter market under the symbol "PHYB."
