PILLSBURY NAMES DAVID B. RICKARD
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Pillsbury, a subsidiary of Grand Metropolitan PLC, today announced that David B. Rickard has joined the company as senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective immediately. He reports to Paul S. Walsh, chief executive officer of Pillsbury.
In this newly created position, Rickard, 45, is responsible for the company's financial planning and management, and financial controls and systems in all business areas, including the Baked Goods Division, Green Giant, ALPO Petfoods, GrandMet Foodservice USA, and Flour Milling and Special Commodities.
Rickard brings extensive domestic and international food industry experience to Pillsbury. Most recently, he was vice president of finance and strategy for Kraft USA. Prior to that, Rickard held a number of key positions with General Foods, including controller and director of strategic planning for the Maxwell House Division. In addition, he previously was General Food's finance director international and finance director Europe, located in Brussels, Belgium.
Rickard received a bachelor's degree in 1969 from Cornell University in Cornell, N.Y. He earned an master's degree from Harvard Graduate School of Business in 1971.
