PILGRIM STATION SHUTS DOWN AUGUST 31ST FOR BRIEF OUTAGE

 PLYMOUTH, Mass., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- At 5:23 a.m. on Tuesday August 31st, Pilgrim Station came off line due to a malfunction of a small potential transformer located inside the plant's turbine building switchgear room.
 While the plant is off line, work will also be done inside the drywell on a pilot valve for one of the plant's safety relief valves.
 The plant is proceeding to cold shut-down and is expected to be back in service within a few days.
