 PIEDMONT NATURAL GAS EMPLOYEES TO BUILD CHARLOTTE'S
 150TH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY HOME
 WHAT: Within a record 23 hours 15 minutes, 185
 (Record No. 1) Employees of Piedmont Natural Gas Company will
 build Charlotte's 150th Habitat for Humanity home.
 With this home, Charlotte will become the first
 city in the United States to build 150 Habitat
 homes. Charlotte was the first city to build 100
 Habitat homes in November 1990.
 WHEN: Start - Thursday, Sept. 10, 10:50 a.m.
 Finish - Friday, Sept. 11, 10:00 a.m. (we hope!)
 WHO: Piedmont Natural Gas employees will attempt to be
 (Record No. 2) the first non-professionals worldwide to build a
 Habitat home within the 23 hour 15 minute record
 time they set when they built Charlotte's 100th
 home for Habitat for Humanity in November 1990.
 The new homeowners, Ann Bradley and her two
 daughters, Yolanda (17) and Lakissha (9), will be
 helping the Piedmont volunteers.
 IN ATTENDANCE: Former Governor Jim Hunt will visit the
 construction site Thursday afternoon.
 WHERE: 1016 Belmont Avenue (corner of Belmont and Allen
 Streets).
 WHY: Piedmont Natural Gas employees decided they wanted
 to build Charlottes' 150th Habitat home in
 Charlotte as their third Habitat home. In May
 1991 Piedmont employees also built a Habitat home
 in High Point, N.C. together with volunteers from
 the High Point area Builders Association.
