 New Photo Magazine Launched
WORCESTER, Mass., Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Pappas Communications

Group Inc. introduces Picture This! Magazine, the only existing magazine designed to teach complete novices how to take perfect photographs. Picture This! Magazine ... recently arrived via mail to 161,038 subscribers and an additional 17,000 publications will be distributed to newsstands and promotional outlets nationwide.
According to a recent survey commissioned by Fuji Photo Film U.S.A. Inc., 71 percent of American novice photographers -- the largest and most active segment of the photographic market -- say they would take more photographs if they knew how to take better photographs.
"Picture This! Magazine is the first and only publication dedicated to showing entry-level photographers exactly what they need to do in order to take better photographs, and it is as visually exciting as it is easy to follow," says Lee Pappas, publisher for Picture This! Magazine.
A seasoned publisher, Pappas has launched and run a number of successful magazine titles over the last 12 years including: VideoGames & Computer Entertainment; PC LapTop Computers; TurboPlay; A.N.A.L.O.G. Computing; and VISIO.
"With the economy being what it is today, we are seeing more and more novices take interest in inexpensive hobbies like photography," says Pappas.
"We think Picture This! Magazine will be an indispensable way to reach an extremely large, tightly targeted and previously untapped segment of today's consumer photography market," adds Craig Patchett, editor-in-chief for Picture This! Magazine. "We also think the easy- to-understand and pertinent editorial contents will honestly guarantee better-quality photographs for our readers."
Monthly editorial contents include sections such as: Basic Tips featuring topics like how to take outdoor portraits, group shots, wedding photos or pet portraits; Advanced Tips, for readers who have graduated beyond the snapshot stage and want to explore the world of off-camera flash and filters, etc.; The Big Picture, which includes examples of creative ways to display photographs; and That's Not Right, which presents graphic examples of things that can go wrong because of camera, lab or photographer error.
Other sections include: Ask the Experts, What's Hot, and Before & After. Picture This! Magazine also solicits readers to send their best photos for inclusion in the magazine making them eligible to win special prizes including the latest in new photo equipment.
Picture This! Magazine is the highest quality photo publication on the market today with a strong emphasis on showing people techniques via photographs rather than trying to describe them with text.
