England must beware of the blazing Hussey Live cricket Sky Sports 1, 4.30pm ENGLAND'S cricketers have the chance to win the first major one-day tournament in their history but opponents Australia have unearthed a modern-day superhero, writes James Milton.

After Mike Hussey's amazing innings in Friday's semi-final against Pakistan, skipper Michael Clarke called his star batsman "freakish".

Admittedly, Hussey does have a pair of ears that Dumbo would be proud of and, unlike his team-mates, he doesn't resemble a dyed blond surfer from Home and Away, but freakish is harsh.

To be fair to Clarke, his full tribute to Hussey - or Six Man, as I like to call him - was: "It was just a freakish performance from an unbelievable cricketer."

If England are blasted away by the Hussmeister today, I hope they'll ignore the advice of Pakistan's coach Waqar Younis who claimed after the semi-final defeat that: "All you can do is smile about it."

Or you could smash up those stupid plastic dug-outs, yell something about convicts and get David Lloyd to parade around in his Speedos with a giant replica of the Ashes urn.
