PHYSICIAN CORPORATION OF AMERICA SHARES NOW TRADE IN THE NASDAQ NATIONAL MARKET

 MIAMI, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Chairman and Chief Executive Officer E. Stanley Kardatzke, M.D., announced the public offering of the common stock of Physician Corporation of America (NASDAQ-NMS: PCAM) ("PCAM"), underwritten by an underwriting syndicate co-managed by Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. and PaineWebber Inc. on March 30, 1993. The stock is now traded on the NASDAQ National Market System under the symbol "PCAM". Dr. Kardatzke noted that the offering of 2,175,000 shares of stock will result in net proceeds to PCAM of approximately $30.0 million which will be used for repayment of existing bank indebtedness, working capital and general corporate purposes, including possible future acquisitions.
 PCAM is a a managed health care company that provides comprehensive health care services to approximately 320,000 members through its health maintenance organizations in Florida and Texas.
