PHS Health Plans President Elected to the Bridgeport Regional Business Council.

PHS Health Plans announced today that Barry Averill, president, has been elected to the board of directors of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council (BRBC), the region's largest business organization, serving more than 1,000 member companies.
"I'm pleased to have been chosen to serve on the BRBC board of directors," Averill said, "and look forward to working with other Connecticut leaders to develop programs and initiatives that ensure the region's continued growth and prosperity."
Averill received his bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky. Recently relocated to Connecticut, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Association of HMOs; Illinois HMO Guaranty Association and the Chicago Health policy Council.
