PHP HEALTHCARE ACQUIRES HEALTH COST CONSULTANTS

 ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- PHP Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: PPH), in a continuing effort to provide complete managed health care services, has acquired cost containment experts Health Cost Consultants, Inc., of Vienna, Va., PHP President and Chairman Charles H. Robbins announced today. The company will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary.
 Formerly associated with INOVA, Health Cost Consultants (HCC) has been active in the field of health care cost containment and case management since 1983. It has pioneered the development of software containing a single patient file to integrate inpatient and outpatient records, and it has been an industry leader in reporting information on health care utilization. The HCC management team, including President Debbie Scheff, will remain in place.
