The event was being hosted by Bachchan, who posted on his blog: " shall attempt to elaborate later... but for now just wish to leave you with the thought of the meeting with Steven Spielberg and to welcome him to the country and be in conversation with him amongst a relevant audience that connects itself with the fraternity."

Among the others, expected, on the guest list were mir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar. The ones who turned up included, filmmakers Abbas-Mustan, Anurag Kashyap, Madhur Bhandarkar, Kunal Kohli, Kiran Rao (Amir Khan's wife), Shyam Benegal, Rohan Sippy, Ashutosh Gowariker, Rajkumar Hirani of Munna Bhai (MBBS) fame, amongst others.

A source said: "It can easily be called a masterclass where Steven Spielberg will impart know - ledge to Indian directors and would be learning from them as well."
