 PHIL-A-JOB YOUTH COMPETE IN SIXTH ANNUAL
 CORESTATES FINANCIAL CORP CITYWIDE SPELLING BEE
 PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- During the summer of 1992, more than 3,500 youth will participate in the Sixth Annual Phil-a-Job City- wide Spelling Bee sponsored by CoreStates Financial Corp.
 For the past few weeks, youth completed quarter and semi-final spelling bees throughout the city. Twenty-nine finalists will compete in the spelling bee finals on Aug. 4, at 9 a.m., in the Bonnell Auditorium, Community College of Philadelphia, to name Philadelphia's top speller!
 This event is made possible by its corporate sponsor, CoreStates and the commitment of young Philadelphians who work and study hard. As an annual event, the Phil-a-Job City-wide Spelling Bee is open to all youth, 14-15 years of age, who participate in the basic education component of the Phil-a-Job program.
 All finalist will receive savings bonds ranging from $50 to $500 and a 1992 Spelling Bee T-shirt. In addition, the top five finalists will also win a computerized speller.
 Coordinated by the Private Industry Council (PIC) of Philadelphia, Phil- a-Job is a partnership between the public and private sector, organized to enhance the lives of youth, ages 14-21, by providing a variety of summer educational and employment opportunities.
