PHH FANTUS BROADENS CONSULTING SERVICES: MATSON APPOINTED MANAGING PARTNER

WILTON, Conn., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- In a dual response to expanding global client needs, Erik W. Matson has been appointed managing partner, PHH Fantus, and the company's traditional business location and economic development advisory services expanded into more general consulting practices. The announcement was made by Stephen A. Fragapane, president, PHH Relocation Real Estate Services, and senior vice president, PHH Corporation, Hunt Valley, Maryland.
"Building on PHH Fantus' core strengths in business location and economic development consulting," says Fragapane, "Erik will focus on furthering company growth by adding client value through worldwide strategic counsel and program implementation services. In addition, we are adding new practices providing global solutions on general business and market strategies, and enhanced business location and economic development capabilities."
Since 1919, PHH Fantus has conducted over 8,000 business location and economic development client projects. "We have seen numerous changes occur in the global marketplace, and our clients are continually modifying their strategies to meet these challenges. These changing paradigms have given us the opportunity to build stronger partnerships with our clients in taking assertive, positive steps for their future," said Robert M. Ady, president of PHH Fantus.
"In this way," adds Ady, "we will fulfill PHH Fantus' mission to become the foremost geopolitical and business strategy consultancy for both corporate and public sector organizations."
Matson joined PHH Fantus in 1992. Prior to joining the firm, he was a senior member of the marketing strategy practice with Booz, Allen & Hamilton. Earlier, he ran an internal consulting division across 27 countries worldwide for Dun & Bradstreet in the Consumer Marketing Management Group.
"Working with PHH Fantus President Bob Ady and our entire management team," adds Matson, "I look forward to the challenge of positioning PHH Fantus to help our clients develop their geopolitical and marketing strategies and their worldwide commercial initiatives."
Through its more than 4,800 highly trained employees worldwide, PHH Corporation provides over 3,000 clients with a complete range of integrated management services in three broad areas: relocation and real estate management, vehicle and fuel management, and mortgage management services.
PHH Fantus is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PHH Corporation based in Hunt Valley, Maryland, and is today a $4 billion transnational firm traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: PHH).
Erik W. Matson, 32, has served a broad range of domestic and international clients within the consumer products, media, financial services and information industries.
