PFIZER APPOINTS BENSON VICE PRESIDENT FOR ANIMAL HEALTH

 NEW YORK, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Pfizer Inc (NYSE: PFE) today announced that Stan Benson, vice president and general manager of Pratt Pharmaceuticals, has been named vice president and general manager of the North American Division of Pfizer Animal Health Group.
 Mr. Benson began his career at Pfizer in 1977 as a marketing research analyst. Following a series of advances, Mr. Benson was named director of product management for Pfizer Labs in 1986 and became vice president of National Healthcare Operations in 1987.
 The North American Division of the Animal Health Group was relocated from New York to Lee's Summit, Mo., in early 1993. The Animal Health Group is a leader in animal health products used in worldwide cattle, swine and poultry industries.
 Pfizer is a research-based, diversified health care company with global
operations. The company recorded sales of approximately $7.23 billion for 1992.
