PFA unearths unit preparing ghee from intestines of animals.

RAWALPINDI -- The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Wednesday unearthed a unit preparing ghee with intestines of animals in Attock.

According to PFA Director Bilal Abro, some 4,000 kg ghee packed in tins and 12,000 kg raw material including intestines of animals was recovered in the raid. The police assisted the PFA officials, however, no arrest was made, he added.

During the raid, he said, cats and dogs were witnessed eating intestines and the condition

of the unit was pathetic.

He said ghee prepared from animals' intestines was not fit for human consumption.
