PETER HALMOS GRANTED 28 DAYS TO AMEND SAFECARD COMPLAINT

MIAMI, Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The following was released today on behalf of Peter Halmos:
Peter Halmos, co-founder and former chairman of SafeCard Services (NYSE: SSI), today stated that the Circuit Court of Chicago has granted him 28 days in which to amend the 14-count complaint he filed earlier this year against SafeCard and its director, William Bacon.
Mr. Halmos said he will be amending his complaint in accordance with the ruling, and would re-allege all 14 counts within the 28-day time frame.
The court's action accompanies its granting a procedural motion by the defendants SafeCard and Bacon to dismiss the complaint on technical grounds.
Mr. Halmos is seeking redress against SafeCard for its reneging of its promises and obligations made to him over the past years.
