ANOTHER big thank you to our readers for their very kind donations over the past week. This week we are appealing for cat scratching posts and tinned dog food.

This weekend is a very busy weekend for our events team. On Saturday 9am-3.30pm and Sunday 10.30am-3pm, we are at Pets at Home, Kingston Park, holding a collection and distributing information about our charity. Pets at Home are having a small animal workshop for kids to show and teach them the importance of looking after small animals.

We are also having another microchipping weekend at our Benton Farm shelter Saturday 12.30pm-3.30pm and Sunday 1.30pm-3.45pm. If your dog is not already microchipped why not bring them along? We do not have a set charge although we ask for a small donation. All dogs coming on site must be fully vaccinated and we will ask for proof on the day. We hope to see you there. Don't forget to add our upcoming Fun Day to your diary. Monday, May 5, 1pm-3.45pm at our Benton North Farm shelter. There will be a bouncy castle and slide, refreshments, tombola, dog stalls and much more. Why not bring your four-legged friend? UPDATE: Dash, the tabby tom who featured last week' has a second chance at happiness. Poppy, the brindle crossbreed, and Chase, the white and black tomhave also both been rehomed over the Easter weekend!
