PESCO BoD for implementation of photo meter reading in all sub-divisions.
PESHAWAR -- Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) Board of Directors (BoDs) on Monday directed to implement the photo meter reading in all sub divisions with immediate effect to redress the overbilling complaints.
The board meeting chaired by Chairman BoD Malik Mohammad Asad Khan and was attended presided over the meeting.
On the occasion, Chief Executive Officer PESCO Anwar ul HaqYousafzai expressed resolve to make the company a profitable entity besides facilitating PESCO customers with better facilities and giving relief in loadshedding.
It was informed that in the light of BoD's suggestions, the PESCO Management has succeeded in reducing line losses, while recovery has also been increased.
Chairman BoD on the occasion, said we have to put Pesco on the path of success and profitability and suggested new ideas and proposals in this regard.
Company Secretary presented Minutes of 105th BOD meeting which were approved after detailed discussion.PescoBoD discussed the measures taken to make Pesco a profitable entity.
Some important ideas and proposals were launched to strengthen PESCO's Operational efficiency. It was informed that PESCO would become a profit earning power distribution company at the end of the current year.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman BoD called for improving PESCO's performance and to make it a consumer friendly company.
He directed to implement the photo meter reading in all sub divisions immediately to redress the overbilling complaints.
Meanwhile, the BoD approved bifurcation of over loaded 11 KV feeders, up-gradation of field store Swat and Dargai, up gradation of Daraban Grid Station from 66 KV to 132 KV under the Asian Development Bank loan and also approved six months accounts for the period of July 2015 to December 2015.
The BoD assured full support and cooperation to Provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa t in resolving electricity problems.
Board members included Chief Executive PESCO Anwar ul HaqYousafzai, Col A(r) JahanzebKhan, Col.A(r) Alam Zeb; Syed Musawar Shah, Iftikhar Ahmad Khan, Dr.Amjad ullah Khattak, Chief Engineer Operation Mohammad Iqbal Marwat, Chief Engineer PMU Dr.Mohammad Amjad, Finance Director Yasir Naseem and Secretary Board Khurshid Ahmad.
