Walton-James rises to Washington bureau chief after 12 years with the Tribune, including the last six as deputy bureau chief. Before that she worked in the Chicago newsroom as a copy editor, on the foreign desk and as the Sunday foreign and national editor. She succeeds James Warren, who recently became deputy managing editor for features...
