PERSONAL SOFTWARE PRODUCTS HEADQUARTERS MOVING TO AUSTIN, TEXAS

SOMERS, N.Y., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The IBM Personal Software Products division announced today that it was moving its headquarters from Somers, N.Y. to Austin, Texas. The move is scheduled to begin in July and be completed by the end of the third quarter this year.
"Moving our headquarters closer to our development sites will give us increased synergy and efficiency among our headquarters, development and marketing activities," said PSP President Lee Reiswig. "Austin is a particularly attractive location, given the proximity PSP will have to other leading technology companies in our industry also located there."
Reiswig added that consolidating in Austin will not only bring the headquarters group close to development activities there, but also brings the headquarters organization to a central location between the Boca Raton, Fla. and Mountain View, Calif. sites.
