PERCEPTRON ELECTS PAUL MCDERMOTT OF NOMURA SECURITIES TO ITS BOARD

 FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Perceptron, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: PRCP) announced today that it has recently elected a leading Wall Street executive Paul L. McDermott, head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Nomura Securities International, Inc. ("Nomura") to its board of directors.
 At Nomura, McDermott has been involved in a wide range of global financing activities, including developing joint ventures, strategic relationships, underwriting and capital enhancement programs.
 McDermott, 39, heads the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Nomura Securities International, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of the world's largest investment banking and securities firm.
