PERCEPTRON, INC. FILES REGISTRATION STATEMENT FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Perceptron, Inc.
("Perceptron") announced today that it has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to a proposed initial public offering of 1,875,000 shares of its common stock. The managing underwriters for the proposed initial public offering are Needham & Company, Inc. and Nomura Securities International, Inc.
Perceptron intends to use the proceeds of the offering to repay indebtedness and for general corporate purposes, including additional working capital and possible future acquisitions which have not been specifically identified. Perceptron develops, manufactures and markets laser-based sensor and image-processing systems to manufacturers of large formed parts and assemblies such as automobiles, trucks and appliances. Perceptron products are marketed in North America, Europe and Japan. A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective. These securities may not be sold nor may offers to buy be accepted prior to the time the registration statement becomes effective.
