 PEPSI-COLA INTRODUCES A NEW 'GENERATION' OF ADVERTISING;
 THE SAGA BEGINS SUNDAY, JANUARY 12
 SOMERS, N.Y., Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Pepsi-Cola Company announced today it will introduce a new generation of America's favorite advertising, beginning with a breakthrough :30-second teaser commercial scheduled to air during this Sunday's playoff games. The commercial features a magical experience which signals that an evolution of the Pepsi Generation is about to begin. The story will unfold in three, :60-second episodic commercials during professional football's championship game Sunday, January 26.
 "This Sunday's commercial sends a message that something very new, something very big and very special is about to happen," said David Novak, executive vice president, Marketing and National Sales of Pepsi-Cola Company. "We think it will get America talking, and wondering what Pepsi is up to next.
 "The big event, which unfolds on January 26, will usher in a new era of the Pepsi Generation -- including a new slogan that captures the way consumers feel about the great taste of Pepsi."
 The teaser commercial will run on network television January 12 through January 26. Pepsi-Cola Company commercials are created by BBDO/New York.
