 PENNSYLVANIA TO HOST ANNUAL REGIONAL MEETING
 OF TRANSPORTATION OFFICIALS IN PHILADELPHIA
 The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will host the Northeastern Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (NASHTO) annual meeting in Philadelphia from Sunday to Tuesday, May 3-5.
 Some 500 people are expected to attend, coming from state transportation and public works agencies from Maine to the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and from transportation consulting agencies.
 The opening session will include a panel discussion of the 1991 federal surface transportation program reauthorization with Pennsylvania Transportation Secretary Howard Yerusalim, Federal Highway Administrator Thomas D. Larson, Federal Transit Administrator Brian W. Clymer, and others. The panel will be held from 10:15 a.m. to noon on Monday, May 4.
 Other highlights of the conference will include demonstrations of innovative transportation technology, a field demonstration of truck "weigh-in-motion" scales, and panel discussions on recent amendments to the federal Clean Air Act, "intelligent" traffic management technology, and other topics.
