PENNSYLVANIA LIQUOR CONTROL BOARD HOLDS LICENSING INFORMATION SEMINARS
HARRISBURG, Pa., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The first in a series of Licensing Information Seminars, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB), attracted more than 600 liquor licensees to the Holiday Inn in Grantville, Dauphin County, today.
The workshops are providing licensees in central Pennsylvania the opportunity to meet with representatives of the PLCB, the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement and the Office of Administrative Law Judge.
"The vast majority of the state's 20,000 licensees operate their establishments in a responsible manner," said Chairman James A. Goodman. "These seminars are designed to assist them by providing answers to questions about licensing procedure, legal interpretations of the state's liquor laws and the penalties for violating the law," he said.
In addition to panel discussions, the seminar also includes a presentation by the Pennsylvania DUI Association and a speaker on the importance of responsible beverage service.
"The agency is attempting to develop a closer working relationship with its licensees," said Goodman. "Today's session should give attendees a better understanding of how we can all work together for our mutual benefit."
The seminar is the first of several to be held across the state. The next is planned for Oct. 6 at the Holiday Inn Parkway East, Pittsburgh. Another is tentatively scheduled for late November in Philadelphia.
