PENNSYLVANIA LIQUOR CONTROL BOARD CHAIRMAN RECOGNIZED
HARRISBURG, Pa., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bucks County Licensed

Beverage Association (BCLBA) last night recognized Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) Chairman James A. Goodman for his "outstanding, dedicated leadership," as head of the largest beverage alcohol retail chain in the country.
The BCLBA, which represents 438 licensees, presented Goodman with a citation of merit at its "Meet Your Candidates Night" in Bristol Township. "It's a great honor to be recognized by this distinguished association of licensees," said Goodman. "The board has focused a lot of time and energy on developing a closer working relationship with license holders and it has worked to our mutual benefit," he said.
The recognition comes on the heels of a report by a leading beverage alcohol trade journal which named the PLCB the industry's eastern United States chain retailer of the year. It's the second time since 1990 that the survey by Market Watch Magazine has placed the PLCB among the elite in the industry.
Since his appointment to the PLCB by Gov. Robert P. Casey in 1987, Goodman has presided over some of the most dramatic changes in the history of the state's liquor system. The progressiveness of the board in the areas of marketing and customer service has earned the PLCB respect in this country and in the international beverage community.
