PENNSYLVANIA DER ANNOUNCES NEW SNOWMOBILE REGISTRATION REGULATIONS

HARRISBURG, Pa., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Department of Environmental Resources (DER) today reminded snowmobile riders that the Commonwealth now honors only snowmobile registrations from states that honor Pennsylvania's.
Owners of snowmobiles registered in New Hampshire, New York and Vermont must re-register them in Pennsylvania. Maryland has no snowmobile registration program and that state's snowmobile owners also must register them in Pennsylvania.
Under the old law, any state's snowmobile registration was honored in Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania requires all snowmobiles to have the $20 registration unless they're operated only on family-owned property.
For more information on snowmobile registration contact: Department of Environmental Resources, Snowmobile/ATV Unit, Box 8553, Harrisburg, PA 17105.
