 PITTSBURGH, April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Department of


Transportation (PennDOT) today announced the following traffic alerts.
 -- Parkway East - Pittsburgh:
 Saturday, April 11, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., traffic on the Parkway East will be restricted to one lane at the following locations:
 - Outbound between the Homestead exit ramp and the Squirrel Hill Tunnels (tunnels will be reduced to one lane outbound) during concrete barrier repairs; and
 - Outbound on the ramp to the Fort Pitt Bridge during impact attenuator repairs.
 -- Parkway West - Moon Township:
 Saturday, April 11, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., traffic on the Parkway West at the Montour Run and White Swan Park interchange will be reduced to one lane in each direction (with closure of the slow lane in each direction) during installation of sign structures over the Parkway. Motorists should anticipate two 15-minute traffic stoppages before noon.
 -- Fort Pitt Bridge - Pittsburgh:
 Saturday, April 11, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., traffic will be reduced to one lane on the ramp from the Fort Duquesne Bridge to the Fort Pitt Bridge (lower deck) and on the ramp from Carson Street to the Fort Pitt Bridge (upper deck) during expansion dam repairs. Also, traffic on the Fort Pitt Bridge outbound (lower level) will be reduced to alternating lane closures outbound during lighting repair work.
 -- Parkway West - Greentree:
 Beginning Monday, April 13, and continuing through early July, weekdays, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., traffic will be reduced to one 12- foot lane on the ramp from the Parkway West inbound to Greentree Road during widening of the ramp. This is a continuation of the project which began on Feb. 24.
 -- Smithfield Street - Pittsburgh:
 Monday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., up to one lane may be closed in each direction on the southern approach ramp to the Smithfield Street Bridge during geotechnical operations.
 -- Route 28 - Pittsburgh:
 Tuesday, April 14, through Friday, April 24, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weekdays, traffic on Route 28 at the 31st Street Bridge will be reduced by one lane during signalization and signal work. Closures will alternate between north- and southbound lanes throughout the nine-day work period.
 -- Route 65 - East Rochester Borough, Beaver County, Pa.:
 Monday, April 13, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., traffic will be stopped for an estimated three, 10-minute lane closures on Route 65 southbound under the East Rochester-Monaca Bridge to remove existing structural members.
 -- Cascade Street - New Castle, Lawrence County, Pa.:
 Beginning Monday, April 13, and continuing for the next two weeks, weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., traffic will be reduced on Cascade Street between Routes 65 and 422 to one way, alternating, during drainage improvement work.
 All work schedules are subject to weather conditions.
