PENNDOT ISSUES CONSTRUCTION-RELATED TRAFFIC ALERT

 PITTSBURGH, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation today issued the following construction-related traffic alert.
 Route 51 North (West End Bypass) - Pittsburgh:
 On Tuesday, July 13, at 9 a.m., a project will begin to resurface Route 51 (the West End Bypass) from I-279 (Parkway West) to the West End Circle.
 Russell Industries is the contractor on this $80,000 project. Traffic will be maintained in a single lane through the work area along this two-lane stretch of road.
 On Tuesday, work begins in the northbound direction - toward the West End Circle. Work is scheduled weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. There will be no traffic restrictions after 3 p.m.
 After the northbound lanes are completed, the contractor will work on the southbound lanes. The project is scheduled to be done by Friday, July 23.
 All schedules are subject to weather conditions.
