PECO GAS SENDOUT SETS RECORD IN FEBRUARY

 PHILADELPHIA, March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Philadelphia Electric Company (NYSE: PE) (PE) said its February sendout of natural gas set a new record for a single month.
 The sendout in February was 12.6 billion cubic feet (BCF), surpassing by three percent the previous sendout high set in December 1984. The February sendout also was more than 10 percent higher than during January of this year, which was 11.3 billion cubic feet.
 Overall, February was 22 percent colder than the previous year and eight percent colder than normal.
 Four days during last month exceeded the previous record daily sendout, set on Jan. 17, 1982. A new daily peak sendout, established on Feb. 1, 1993, was 562,011 thousand cubic feet (mcf).
 PECO supplies natural gas to 360,000 customers in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties.
