PEACETREE RECYCLED PAPER RELOCATES;

 PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Peacetree Recycled Paper announced today that it is moving to 523 NE Davis, Portland, on March 1. The firm will hold a grand opening celebration during regular business hours from March 8 - 19; and Saturday and Sunday (March 13 and 14) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. At the grand opening, Peacetree will feature clearance sale prices and introductory specials, as well as provide information to help businesses convert from using virgin paper to using environmentally sound recycled paper products throughout their facilities.
 Portland's only recycled-only office and household paper supplier, Peacetree sells office paper products and household supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels and napkins to Metro-area businesses and residences. Regular customers include: Columbia Girl Scout Council; Bijou Cafe; Ransom, Blackman & Weil attorneys; and Z/Com Inc. According to Peacetree owner Cheryl Welch, the new location will allow Peacetree to continue to supply its current customers, while providing greater accessibility to retail walk-in customers.
 "While we're excited about the move," Welch said, "it's costly and came earlier than we originally anticipated." Prior to the move, Peacetree was included among a number of small businesses at Cascade Business Center, an innovative incubator project that allowed small business owners to share resources and business expertise. The fledgling project failed when the anchor tenant, Tektronix, moved its satellite operation back to Beaverton, and a replacement could not be found. As a result, Welch and others were forced to seek new locations.
 "We're currently working with Portland Development Commission," Welch explained, "and hope to be able to obtain funding that will ease the burden of the move."
 A woman-owned business, Peacetree was established in 1989 to make it easier for business owners and households to purchase and use recycled paper products. The firm donates a portion of its sales to non-profit organizations working to preserve the environment.
