PCSO killed in holiday accident; NEWS IN BRIEF.

A POLICE support officer from Neath has died in a crash while on holiday in Devon.

South Wales Police community support officer Stephen Lewis, 41, pictured, died while cycling on the A3123 during a family holiday on Monday morning.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to North Devon District Hospital where he later died. A second man who was cycling with him was treated for minor injuries.

Western Divisional Commander, Chief Superintendent Joe Ruddy, said: "Steve possessed all the qualities to be a fantastic Police Community Support Officer - hard working, enthusiastic, someone who loved helping people. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time."
