PCC Purchases English Valve Maker.

Precision Castparts Corp (PCC), Portland, Oregon, has acquired the assets of Reiss Valves from The Reiss Engineering Co., Ltd., in a deal valued at $3 million.

Reiss, located in Peterborough, England, manufactures knife gate valves and serves the pulp and paper, water/wastewater, power, cement manufacturing, and new construction industries. PCC Flow Technologies, a subsidiary of PCC, plans to expand Reiss' penetration of the U.K. market and to introduce Reiss valves to the European and U.S. markets through its growing number of distribution channels.

PCC Flow Technologies, one of six PCC subsidiaries, manufactures valves, pumps and fluid measurement equipment for a wide range of markets, including energy, water/wastewater, chemical and construction. PCC is a worldwide manufacturer of complex metal components and products.
