PC NICKED TEA FUND.

A policeman's promising career was in ruins yesterday after he admitted stealing his station typists' tea money.

PC Stephen Badman, 35, took just pounds 18.22 before hidden video cameras trapped him, London's Southwark Crown Court heard.

The "highly thought of" cop, controller of Wandsworth division, got only a 12 month conditional discharge after a judge said he had been suffering clinical depression and been punished enough.

But Badman, of Knaphill, Surrey, faces a disciplinary hearing that will probably sack him.
