PAXMAN'S NUDES NIGHT.

HEAVYWEIGHT political interviewer Jeremy Paxman showed a lighter side as he quizzed pin-up actor Ewan McGregor about his, er, famous parts.

A general chat on the Trainspotting star's work on BBC2's Newsnight turned into a comic exchange on why McGregor does so many nude scenes in his films.

Paxman said: "You have some of the best known private parts in the country."

McGregor pretended he was going to unzip his flies on the programme and Paxman asked: "Why do you keep getting your trousers down?"

The actor replied: "Because I like it, because it gives me a laugh."

He said that since he'd had a stunt double with an unflattering manhood in the TV mini- series Scarlet & Black, he had to set the record straight - at every chance.

Smiling, Paxman ended by asking: "Can we expect to see more of it?"

McGregor replied: "Oh I'm sure, in the future, yes."
