PAUL G. SCHLOEMER IS NAMED DIRECTOR OF ESTERLINE TECHNOLOGIES: FORMER PARKER HANNIFIN PRESIDENT AND CEO JOINS ESTERLINE BOARD

 BELLEVUE, Wash., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Paul G. Schloemer, recently retired president and chief executive officer of Parker Hannifin Corporation, Cleveland, Ohio, has been named to the Board of Directors of Esterline Technologies, the company announced today. He will stand for shareholder election to the board at the company's March 2, 1994, annual shareholders' meeting.
 Schloemer served as chief executive officer of Parker from 1984 until his recent retirement. He joined Parker in 1957, serving in numerous executive-level posts before being named president in 1982.
 Parker is a leading manufacturer of motion control products, including fluid power systems, electromechanical controls, and related components. Revenues in fiscal 1992 totaled $2.4 billion.
 Esterline is a leading manufacturer of automated equipment for the production of printed circuit boards and metal fabrication, instrumentation for quality control, power measurement and process control, and engineered products for the commercial aircraft, aerospace and defense industries.
