 PATRICIA DENNIS APPOINTED TO BOARDS OF RTNDF, NPR
 WASHINGTON, March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint (NYSE: FON) today


announced that Patricia Diaz Dennis, vice president government affairs, has been named to the board of directors of National Public Radio (NPR) and to the board of trustees of the Radio and Television News Directors Foundation (RTNDF).
 Dennis was appointed to a two-year term on the RTNDF board. RTNDF promotes high quality television and radio journalism and protects the rights of TV and radio journalists around the world through research, education and professional training.
 Her appointment to the NPR board fills a recently vacated seat that expires in October, at which time she will be renominated for a three-year position. National Public Radio, with its headquarters in Washington, works with its 430 member stations to create a more informed public.
 Dennis, a former FCC commissioner, joined Sprint in 1991. She was most recently a partner and chair of the communications section of the law firm of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue in its Washington, office. In addition to her appointment to the FCC, she also previously served as a member of the National Labor Relations Board and worked for the American Broadcasting Company and in private practice.
