PARK-OHIO REPLIES CLEVELAND, March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Park-Ohio Industries, Inc.
(NASDAQ:PKOH) today released contents of a letter it has sent to Warren Lichtenstein of Steel Partners, L.P. Earlier, Lichtenstein had said that Park-Ohio had not responded to his request to nominate candidates to Park-Ohio's Board of Directors.
Park-Ohio's letter follows: "Dear Mr. Lichtenstein: Contrary to the contentions contained in your March 23 letter and your assertions to the news media, we clearly responded to your February 7 letter. I informed you (both orally and in my February 10 letter) that the issues raised in your February 7 letter would be taken up with the Board of Directors in due course and that we would contact you. The Board of Directors intends to consider your request when it reviews other possible director candidates. If your proposed candidates wish to meet with representatives of the Board of Directors to discuss such candidates' qualifications, we would be prepared to make appropriate arrangements.
