PARC serves the interest of the all four provinces: Ghulam Mustafa.
Islamabad -- Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) Director General PR and Protocol Sardar Ghulam Mustafa has said that PARC is a national asset which serves all the interest of all four provinces in term of research and technology development and enhancement of agriculture productivity.
Director General PR Ghulam Mustafa while addressing the media persons said that Agri research council also introduced new crop technologies for the betterment of agriculture sector, according to the press statement issued here on Wednesday.
He said that PARC has provided different kinds of wheat, rice, cotton and maize varieties to farmers for better production. PARC has also taken control to Influenza disease of Poultry from Livestock section.
Mustafa said that PARC started olive cultivation projects into all provinces with the collaboration of Italian Government. PARC has introduced 10 species of olive and 1300 acer land is used for this purpose and 124 trainings have been given to more than 500 farmers in this regard.
9 new nurseries have been developed from where olive plants will be provided to farmers for cultivation at national level. He also said that PARC has made hot water treatment plant for disease free mangoes which can be import internationally without and deficiency.
