PARC officials receives millions of rupees as research allowance.
Islamabad -- The top officials of Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC) have received allowance worth over Rs 12 million on account of agriculture research, it has revealed.
According to current report issued by Ministry of Food, dozens of officials are deputed in PARC and receives millions of rupees on account of research allowance.
It is worth-mentioning here that research allowance is specified for those agriculture scientists who, conducts research in fields.
The report added that top officials of PARC receives research allowances of 30% of their salaries, but those officials who are not deputed in fields for research have no privilege to received this allowance.
Secretary food when initiated inquiry of this corruption, the recipients of this allowance have adopted that PARC Chairman has granted this amount while exercising his personal powers.
Now a Secretary food has to decide whether to check the officials deputed in headquarter of receiving this allowance or to deposit it in national exchequer after recovery from those officials who are enjoying this allowance for many years.
