PARAMOUNT PICTURES PROMOTES JOEL BERMAN TO EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
 FOR THE DOMESTIC TELEVISION DIVISION
 HOLLYWOOD, March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Joel Berman has been promoted to executive vice president for the Domestic Television Division of Paramount Pictures, it was announced by Steve Goldman, president of the division.
 Berman is responsible for the distribution of the division's syndicated television programming, including first-run, off-network series and feature film packages. He directly oversees the research, station sales and cable sales departments, as well as the division's co- op advertising, and is a board member of Premier Advertiser Sales. Previously based in New York, Berman will relocate to Los Angeles.
 Goldman commented, "Over the last three years, Joel has been a primary moving force in the division. Not only has he shown exceptional ability on our sales team, but he is highly respected among the station community. We are extremely pleased to see him continue as part of the Paramount team in his new position."
 Berman has served as the division's senior vice president, national sales manager since April 1990. Previously, Berman served as vice president, off-network, features and cable sales for one year.
 Prior to working at Paramount, Berman was senior vice president, sales and marketing for GTG Marketing, where he oversaw the launch of the television program, "USA Today."
 Before joining GTG, Berman was with Paramount for seven years, becoming vice president, eastern regional manager and features planning in November 1985, after serving as vice president, eastern division manager.
 Previously, Berman was director, advertising sales, for Westwood One, and an account executive for Petry Television.
 He holds a bachelor of science in communications from Ohio University.
 Paramount Pictures is part of the entertainment operations of Paramount Communications.
