PARAMOUNT NETWORK SIGNS THREE KEY AFFILIATES IN INDIANAPOLIS, CHARLOTTE, AND SAN ANTONIO

 LOS ANGELES, Nov. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- WTTV-TV/Indianapolis, WJZY- TV/Charlotte, and KABB-TV/San Antonio have joined The Paramount Network as affiliates, it was jointly announced today by Kerry McCluggage, chairman of Paramount Television Group and Evan Thompson, president of Chris-Craft Broadcasting. These three stations, which include the key independent stations of the River City Broadcasting group, is the third announcement of new affiliates in the few weeks since the initial announcement of The Paramount Network and reflects the ongoing momentum of the network's progress.
 In making the announcement, McCluggage commented, "We couldn't be more pleased by the addition of these new stations, which are, by far, the strongest independents in their respective markets. As in the signings announced last week, these stations had a choice to make and their choice was Paramount."
 Thompson added, "We welcome WJZY and River City's WTTV and KABB and thank them for joining our growing line-up of affiliates. We look forward to helping these stations create stronger identities in their markets through quality, original programming."
 Stations committed to The Paramount Network, which will launch in January 1995 with an anticipated 85 percent clearance level, are the following: WWOR/New York (Chris-Craft), KCOP/Los Angeles (Chris-Craft), WPWR/Chicago, WTXF/Philadelphia (Paramount), KBHK/San Francisco (Chris- Craft), WDCA/Washington, D.C. (Paramount), KTXA/Dallas-Ft. Worth (Paramount), KTXH/Houston (Paramount), WUAB/Cleveland, KMSP/Minneapolis (Chris-Craft), KUTP/Phoenix (Chris-Craft), KPTV/Portland, Oregon (Chris- Craft) and WXMT/Nashville, KJZZ/Salt Lake City, and KOCB/Oklahoma City.
 As previously announced, The Paramount Network will initially present four hours of original programming over two nights, with "Star Trek: Voyager" as its cornerstone. This all-new action/adventure hour, created by Rick Berman, Michael Piller, and Jeri Taylor, is the newest installment of television's most enduring franchise.
 The Paramount Network, a fifth television network to be launched in January 1995, is jointly owned and operated by Paramount Communications Inc. and Chris-Craft Industries Inc.
