 PARAMETRIC CELEBRATES FIVE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY
 WITH APPROXIMATELY $40-MILLION PENSION FUND MANAGEMENT CONTRACT
 SEATTLE, July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Parametric Portfolio Associates, located on the 73rd floor of the Columbia Center Building, announced today their five-year anniversary with an approximately $40-million pension fund management agreement with Kern County of California.
 Parametric has gone the financial distance of five years, consistently outperforming the S&P 500 Index by an annualized rate of 1.3 percent. In addition to outperforming the S&P 500 each calendar year they have been in business, Parametric was recently named to the Nelson Publications list of the top 20 best money managers in America, based upon five-year annualized returns for U.S. Large Cap/Core Equity funds.
 Parametric manages local clients' and pension funds for Weyerhaeuser Family Trusts, University of Washington, Simpson Investment Co. and Frank Russell Trust Co. of Tacoma, Wash. The company manages pension funds nationally for Ralston Purina Co., Sears, Unisys, Major Baseball League Players Association, Daughters of Charity, the Alaska Teamsters, State of Connecticut, City of Memphis, City of Philadelphia and Washington Gas Light Co.
 Global clients include IBM Belgium and IBM Netherlands.
 "Typically, you would have to go to New York, Boston, Chicago, etc., to find a company like Parametric," said Bill Cornelius, managing director of Parametric. "We're bringing a little bit of Wall Street to the Northwest," he added.
 Parametric manages $750 million in assets, and it publishes a leading global index used throughout the world by pension funds and consultants. Parametric is a subsidiary of Pacific Mutual Life Insurance, Newport Beach, Calif.
