 PARAMAX RECEIVES CONTRACT FOR COMBAT SYSTEM GROOMING
 FOR ALLIED NATION
 MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Paramax Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS), has been awarded a $17 million contract modification from the U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command to groom the combat systems for guided missile frigates for a friendly nation.
 Paramax previously received contracts worth more than $120 million to develop and integrate the combat systems for the first ships. The new contract modification covers an array of engineering services for additional ships and is scheduled to run until mid-1997.
 Under the foreign military sales contract modification, Paramax will provide technical, logistics, program management, engineering and material support services for the frigates' combas for a ship involves int eg ting all the combat subsystems and performing a rigorous test of all the software and hardware, both individually and as an integrated system. All functions are checked to ensure that the combat system performs as designed and meets all operational specifications.
