PARAMAX RECEIVES $45 MILLION IN NEW AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL BUSINESS
 MCLEAN, Va., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Paramax Systems Corporation today announced that it recently received over $45 million in new air traffic control business. Paramax, formerly Unisys Defense Systems, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS).
 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded Paramax nearly $39 million for Automated Radar Term ?System IIA and IIIA Interim Support Plans (ARTS IIA ISP and ARTS IIIA ISP) to provide upgraded hardware and software. The contract options are part of a phased program to upgrade air traffic control systems at airports across the United States.
 Paramax will also provide Mode C intruder detection software as part of the ARTS IIA and ARTS IIIA ISP contracts. Mode C intruder detects and alerts controllers to the presence of potential conflicts between all transponder-equipped aircraft in terminal areas.
 The FAA also awarded Paramax a $6.6 million spares order on the Digital Bright Radar Indicator Tower Equipment (DBRITE) system. DBRITE systems are used by civilian and military air traffic controllers to provide aircraft position information. DBRITE tower display units are designed to be easily viewed in the high-light conditions of an air traffic control tower.
 Work on these FAA orders will be managed and produced by the Electronic Systems operations of Paramax located in Eagan, Minn., and Clearwater, Fla.
